~ PURPOSE ~

Deep Journey Tours provides people with a way to explore the world subtly and uniquely, in a small group, with a guide. Our way is not the average vacationing tourist's agenda or what they would ever dream of. Tours are especially prepared by Meg for people who, like herself, are interested in earth based spirituality, nature and sacred places. The aim is to enable the journeyers to empower, educate, restore and energize themselves while contributing to the area in ecologically conscious ways and to honor and experience ancient and beautiful places, cultures and traditions; RECONNECTING WITH THE NATURAL WORLD. Adventures are designed by your guide, Meg Easling, for people of average physical ability, who have interests in the arts including sketching and painting, photography, journal keeping; and/or interest in the native healing plants, archeology, ancient sacred places, ancient temples and exploring in the company of like-minded folk.
Our accommodations and meals will be healthy, simple and shared. Our days will
be spent exploring and honoring nature and the local cultures and meeting with
and learning from local people who are artists, craftspersons, teachers, healers,
herbalists, storytellers, guides or ecologists. The adventure usually includes
much time spent learning from a local guide about his/her culture. Laughter, camaraderie,
good times and adventures are priorities. Tours are usually limited to 8 to 15
people. Smaller groups are possible on request. The ultimate goal is to re-enter our own culture as inspired and evolved people who have deepened their connections with nature, with themselves, with each other and with the people they meet on the journey. We travel annually to IRELAND (June and July), BELIZE (March), OAXACA, MEXICO (Oct-Nov). Other customized tours are also available, including CUSCO ~ PERU, HAWAII, COSTA RICA, GUATEMALA and the CALIFORNIA COAST. |
