SCHEDULE

Oct. 23: FLY TO OAXACA, MEXICO, SETTLE AT HOTEL, ORIENTATION, WALK DOWNTOWN AND DINNER TOGETHER

Oct. 24: MORNING ~ TOUR OF MONTE ALBAN RUINS, AFTERNOON ~ WALKING TOUR OF THE CITY WITH MEG FOLLOWED BY SHOPPING AT THE ZOCOLO, CENTRAL MARKETS, AND THE ALCALA SHOPS AND GALLERIES.

Oct. 25: ALL DAY TOUR INTO THE COUNTRYSIDE TO THE ARCHEOLOGICAL SITES  MITLA, YAGUL, TEOTITLAN DEL VALLE (Zapotec carpets), and THE SACRED TULE TREE.

Oct. 26: TEMESCAL, (INDEGENOUS STEAM BATH AND MASSAGE)

Oct. 27: FREE DAY ~ REST, MEDITATE, SHOP AND PLAY **

It is possible for you to arrive on this day and only do the last seven days of the tour.

Oct. 28 - to Nov. 1: PREPARATIONS FOR AND CELEBRATION OF DAY OF THE DEAD.

The schedule for this is below. When we are not with our hosts, we will make further excursions and explorations to villages, markets, museums and of course places to sit and eat and watch the people watching us. 

Oct. 28: 10:00 am to -1:00 pm. Cooking Class: Making black mole with turkey at La Casa De Los Milagros.

Oct. 29: 10:00 am to -1:00 pm. Demonstration of the decoration of candles in the village Teotitlan Del Valle or another special event. Afternoon free.

Oct. 30: 10:00 am to -12:00 pm. Tour of the pre-festival Abastos Market with our guide.

Oct. 31: 10:00 am to -1:00 pm.: Decorating the altar for Day of the Dead, at La Casa de las Bugambilias. 7:00 PM TO 9:00  PM: Visit to cemetery in Xoxocotlan.

Nov. 1: 10:00 am to -12:00 pm.: Spiritual rituals with curanderos (healers) at La Casa de los Milagros.

Nov. 2: 2:00 pm to -3:00 pm.: Special Feast at Casa de las Bugambilias.

Nov. 3: RETURN FLIGHT HOME. The tour ends here in Oaxaca. You may stay longer if you wish, to explore more, let me know.
