For Meg Easling, art is life, life is art and both are sacred. Meg holds
a masters degree in Fine Arts and in the sixties, she studied under Sister
Corita at Immaculate Heart college and at a Southern California University.
She has been designing jewelry since 1969. Her love for folk art includes
especially the timeless patterns and symbols incorporated in the arts and
crafts of ancient and modern cultures. Thus her love of Celtic, Mayan, Zapotec,
Greek and other mystically inspired patterns and symbols. |
Meg believes that all gems are precious . Her love for sculpting , for
the magic of precious gems and fascination with the mediums of gold and
silver in sculpture lead her many years ago to master the art of 'cire perdue';
the ancient lost wax process of designing jewelry. Meg is a master of her
art.
Meg's favorite style is free-form Celtic with an Art Nouveau flare, her
designs are mystical, elegant, simple, practical and sturdy. She is also
delighted to design for you the outrageous and the flamboyant.
Meg has designed literally thousands of rings for delighted customers over
the years. Her work is inspired, intuitive and powerful.
